The North Sound runs from the suburbs just north of the King County line up through Snohomish County and into the Skagit Valley. It is home to aerospace and manufacturing workers around Paine Field, commuters who drive I-5 or I-405 every day, and families in fast-growing towns along US 2 and SR 9. Long commutes, shift work and a shortage of local psychiatric appointments are common reasons people reach out to us.
Our clinic is at 2135 112th Ave NE, Suite 201, Bellevue, and every service is also available through secure telehealth anywhere in Washington. Many patients do most visits by video and come in only when an in-person appointment is genuinely useful.
Drive times to Bellevue range from about 25 minutes for Mill Creek to more than an hour for Mount Vernon, so telehealth is how most North Sound patients see us week to week.
A whole-person, root-cause approach
Most people who reach us from the North Sound have already tried something: a few months of therapy, a prescription that took the edge off, a stack of supplements from the internet. What usually hasn’t happened is anyone stepping back to look at the whole picture at once. Holistic psychiatry does exactly that. We look at mood, anxiety, focus and sleep alongside the things that drive them underneath: sleep quality, nutrition, stress physiology, hormones, inflammation, gut health, medications and life circumstances.
Care usually begins with our Biopsych Assessment, a structured intake that brings your history, symptoms and any relevant labs into a single plan. From there, psychotherapy, lifestyle and nutritional strategies, and medication management where appropriate are coordinated by one team rather than split across several offices. Care is led by Dr. Koichi Tanji, ND, LMHC.
Towns we serve in the North Sound
Mill Creek
Mill Creek is about 25 minutes from our clinic via SR 527 and I-405 outside rush hour, close enough that many patients mix video visits with in-person appointments. Its planned neighborhoods and Town Center draw a lot of families with school-age children.
Mukilteo
Mukilteo sits on the water next to Paine Field and the Boeing Everett plant, and its ferry terminal links to Clinton on Whidbey Island. Bellevue is roughly 35 minutes away via SR 525 and I-405. Aerospace schedules and ferry-dependent family logistics make flexible telehealth a good fit.
Snohomish
Snohomish, with its historic riverfront downtown, is about 35 minutes from Bellevue via SR 9 and SR 522 or I-405. Many residents commute to Everett or the Eastside and prefer early or evening video visits.
Lake Stevens
Lake Stevens is around 40 minutes from our clinic via SR 204, US 2 and I-5 or SR 9. It is one of the county’s fastest-growing family communities, and we often help parents and teens with anxiety, focus and sleep.
Monroe
Monroe sits on US 2, the route to Stevens Pass, about 40 minutes from Bellevue via SR 522. Commuters who spend a lot of time on SR 522 tend to value telehealth for most follow-ups.
Arlington
Arlington is in north Snohomish County along I-5 and SR 530, roughly 50 minutes from our office. Patients here mostly see us by secure video and visit Bellevue for the initial assessment if they prefer.
Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon is the hub of the Skagit Valley, known for its spring tulip fields, about an hour or more from Bellevue on I-5. For Skagit County patients, telehealth makes integrated psychiatry practical without a long round trip.
